International Space Camp - Teachers of the Year

In 2003 and 2004, John Stoke and I have been invited to speak at what is known as "International Space Camp". This week-long event, held at Space Camp in Huntsville, AL, brings together the Teachers of the Year from all 50 states and from 20-30 other countries. John and I present an overview of the Hubble Space Telescope and the science that has been done with it. This is one of my favorite talks of the year, as these teachers are the cream of the crop, and they really enjoy learning new things.

Below are my presentation slides. I do the 'science with the Hubble' part of the talk. John's presentation is on the telescope, its operation, servicing, and why it is one of the best scientific instruments ever. However, John uses a more powerful presentation program (called Scala) that is not really amenable for web distribution.

Versions

I often give the same talk several times, updating and improving (?) the talk each time. When there are siginificant changes between versions, I will post both versions and you can choose whichever version works best for you.
